So here I am... Jassie is sleeping soundly and my fingers are crossed that she stays that way all night long... I just came from reading the latest post on Miranda's Window Dressing (check it out) and it brought to mind some memories of my days as a Domino's manager... there are the memories of the nekkid guy on Plum Street... not only would he answer the door in the nude but he would walk back and forth in front of the glass door before he answered why do guys who answer the door in the nude have to be overweight, balding, and smell like they haven't bathed in a week? Why can't the be young, hard, and smell like bay rum (yummy)...

Then there are the phones... we had 4 in our store and I was usually the only one there to answer them (my 2 drivers being on the road delivering) you would not BELIEVE the questions people would ask... here's a small list:
"What shape are your round pizzas?" ummm... round....
"What size are your 14 inch pizzas?" somewhere between 13-15 inches...
"Does your pizza come on a crust?" acutally we use cardboard flavored with yeast
"Do you deliver pizzas?" no... we just make them and keep them here....
"Can I have my pizza delivered in a box?" No... we are saving the trees...
And my all time favorite:
"Are you open today?" No this is just a figment of your imagination... none of this exists... YOU do not exist... now hang up the phone and go away....

We had to be nice to the customers no matter how obnoxious and mean they got.... but there were times.... don't these people realize that I know their addresses, phone numbers, and in a lot of cases their credit card and checking account numbers.... be NICE to your pizza people or you could be on the list for toilet paper on halloween.... for those of you out there with a paranoia complex... think about it... you are giving out personal information to total strangers... not to mention actually trusting them to prepare your food for you... just HOPE that those mushrooms were not "home harvested"....

Well enough of the pizza business... on to my addiction Evercrack!
I have a 10th level cleric and I purchased the 9th level spells for her... only to find out that one of the spells that she SHOULD be able to scribe in her book won't work... it lists her level to use as 255 never mind that the highest level in the game is 65... seems that when the wonderful programmers of EQ patched they screwed up the code... so I bugged it and petitioned it... this was last week... still no sign that they will be either raising the highest level to 255 or fixing the spell scroll...

They did a patch the week before Christmas... and then had to repatch the patch... and then patch the repatch... and then repatch the repatch... you get the idea... someone in-game asked why they had so much down time... my reply... "the down time of EQ is directly proportional to the number of users and the amount of time they have to play"... considering that the week before Christmas was the patch and everyone had the week of Christmas off... the number of players and the amount of time they could play was increased... therefore the downtime for EQ increased....

Well feel free to comment... add your funny pizza stories or if you are an Evercrack addict please feel free to /rant on about the game!

Well, News is news be it good or bad and at least I had warning... my character in EQ will no longer have a home with her guild. The guild leader has decided to disband and let everyone go their merry way. The question is... do I send Nitamaru in search of a stronger guild for stronger allies in her bid to ressurect her Master that he become a god? Or do I just go running around all alone like I originally intended her to be?

On a more RL note, Jassie fell asleep at midnight and, besides waking up briefly at 4am slept all night so I was able to get a full night's sleep.

Not much else to post for the moment but keep watching because the /rant will go on and you'll find somethjing to amuse you I am sure.

Ok, I've just finished Programming I in college and this is NOT the same language that I learned. BUT I am getting the idea... bear with me as I change things around.

Well I finally made it. Just give me a little while to arrange the furniture here and then we can get down to some serious rants.

This is a late Christmas Gift to Riambra. She claims she's too busy to set one up on her own :)
